Pack and Play Dildos: What FTM and Trans Masc People Need to Know
What is a pack-and-play dildo?
A pack-and-play (or dual-use) dildo is a prosthetic designed to be worn as a packer during the day and used for penetrative sex. Unlike traditional dildos that are only for play, pack-and-plays are soft enough to wear comfortably all day — they don’t create an uncomfortable bulge or require a special harness just to move around in.
The secret is the posable core. Inside the soft silicone exterior, there’s a flexible internal wire that lets you bend the toy into the position you want before use. It holds that shape throughout sex without losing its natural feel.
How does it work as a packer?
During the day, you tuck the toy into underwear, boxer briefs, or a packing pouch. The soft silicone sits naturally against your body, creating a realistic shape and weight through clothing. Most people find it comfortable for hours of wear.
How does it work for sex?
In a harness, the posable core gives you a toy that stays in position through every position. You don’t have to worry about it flopping or losing angle mid-session. The dual-density silicone — softer on the outside, more structured inside — creates a realistic feel that moves naturally with the body.
Shilo or Carter?
NYTC makes two pack-and-play dildos, both using the same posable core and dual-density platinum silicone:
-
Shilo — $179.99
The original pack-and-play. Slightly more slender. Available in Cashew, Caramel, Hazelnut, Chocolate, and Midnight Purple. -
Carter — $199.99
More girth. More presence. The same construction, more of it. Available in Cashew, Caramel, Hazelnut, and Chocolate.
If you’ve never tried a pack-and-play, Shilo is a great starting point. If you already know you want more, or if you’ve tried Shilo and are ready to size up, Carter is the answer.
Do I need a special harness?
Any O-ring harness compatible with a 1.5–2 inch base will work. NYTC sells complete bundle kits that include both a toy and a harness at a discount.
