Is It Normal to Feel Anxious About Buying Trans Gear?
If you've had something in your cart for weeks and keep closing the tab, you're in good company. Here's why this feels big, and a few things that make it easier.
Why does buying this stuff feel so loaded?
Because it's not really about a product - it's about your body, your identity, and being seen. That's tender. Add worries about packaging, who might find out, or whether you "deserve" to spend the money, and it's a lot to hold at once.
"What if someone sees the package?"
This is the number one worry we hear, so let's be specific: every order ships in a plain, unmarked box - no logos, no product names anywhere on the outside. Your card or bank statement shows only "NYTC." Checkout is encrypted and we never share your data.
"Do I even deserve this?"
Yes. Affirming your body isn't a luxury or a frivolous purchase - it's care. You don't have to earn it, and you don't have to be "trans enough" to want gear that helps you feel like yourself.
You don't have to decide alone
If you have questions you'd rather ask a person than a product page, founder Chelsea hosts live office hours every Wednesday at 9pm ET - no judgment, no sales pitch, no question too basic. You can also take our 60-second quiz if you want a gentle starting point.
Common questions
Is the packaging really discreet? Yes - plain unmarked box, neutral "NYTC" statement.
What if I'm not sure I'm trans / trans enough? You don't need a label or a timeline to explore what feels right. The gear meets you wherever you are.
Can I ask questions privately? Yes - come to office hours or email us. Nothing is too personal or too basic.
