How to Choose an FTM Packer: Materials, Styles, and What to Avoid

Picking a packer starts with one question most product pages skip: what is it made of? A packer is worn against your most sensitive skin, often all day. Materials aren't a spec-sheet detail — they're the whole decision.

Why packer material matters

Every NYTC packer is made of high-quality platinum silicone — body-safe, non-porous, and naturally hypoallergenic. We make our own products, for our own community, and we never use TPR or TPE. Those cheaper blends can contain chemicals that may act as endocrine disruptors — not something we're willing to put against your body for twelve hours a day.

Platinum silicone also cleans properly. Because it's non-porous, it doesn't trap bacteria the way soft plastic blends do — warm water and mild soap keep it fresh for years.

Which style of packer is right for you?

The best packer depends on how you plan to use it. Some are designed for everyday comfort, while others are built for specific functions.

Everyday packers

If your goal is a natural look and feel under clothing, an everyday packer is the way to go.

Our everyday packers are soft, lightweight, and designed to move naturally with your body. They're available in multiple skin tones and styles.

For classic packing, Archer and Pierre are excellent everyday choices. Pierre is our uncut (uncircumcised) packer, because realism means having options that reflect different bodies.

STP packers

Sam STP 3-in-1 packer — pee, pack and play

If you'd like to stand to pee while keeping a natural bulge, an STP (stand-to-pee) packer combines both functions in one product.

Sam is our original 3-in-1 design. It lets you pack comfortably throughout the day, use the built-in STP when you need it, and provides additional functionality when you want it. It's designed to be worn daily, making it a great all-around option.

Pack-and-play packers

Pack-and-play packers are designed to bridge everyday packing with intimate use — but not every model is meant to be worn the same way.

Jack is our compact 2-in-1 packer. It's designed to be comfortable enough for daily wear while also offering added functionality when the moment calls for it.

Shilo is also a pack-and-play, but it's designed primarily for play rather than everyday packing. If you're looking for something to wear all day under your clothes, Jack, Sam, Archer, or Pierre are the better choices.

Keep your packer secure

The right accessory can make everyday packing even more comfortable.

We offer two options to keep your packer securely in place throughout the day:

Whether you're heading to work, the gym, or just going about your day, both options help keep your packer comfortable and positioned naturally.

Hand-painted or classic?

The biggest difference is appearance — not quality.

Our hand-painted packers are individually finished with layered coloring that adds depth, detail, and a more lifelike look.

Our classic versions use the exact same platinum silicone, mold, and body-safe materials at a different price point. The only thing that changes is the finish — not the quality.

Quick answers

Are NYTC packers hypoallergenic?

Yes — platinum silicone is naturally hypoallergenic and non-porous.

What should I avoid in a packer?

TPR and TPE blends. They're porous (hard to truly clean) and can contain chemicals that may act as endocrine disruptors. If a product page doesn't name its material, that's your answer.

How do I keep a silicone packer clean?

Warm water and mild soap after wear. Non-porous silicone doesn't hang onto bacteria or odor the way soft plastics do.

Do you make intact and circumcised packers?

Yes — both, in multiple skin tones. Pierre is our uncut option.
